Lead Brewer.

Where are you from, and when did you move to Colorado?
Moved around a bunch as a kid…Pennsylvania, Texas, Colorado, Arizona…eventually moved back to Colorado in 2005 to go to college in Boulder!

Why did you move to Colorado?
I had family in Colorado, and Boulder was a beautiful place to spend my college years…but really I just wanted to go snowboarding as many days as possible.

What did you do before Joyride?
I was a brewer at Strange Craft Brewing Company and Wit’s End Brewing Company…but before that I worked as a Rehab Therapy Tech for 6 years after college.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Joyride?
Awesome location across from Sloan’s Lake, great coworkers, and being able to brew so many different beers!

What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
Current hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, disc golf…I play on a pool league with some of the Joyride crew, and am on a beer league Ice Hockey team.

What’s your favorite type of music/band?
I listen to mostly everything, minus mumble rap and modern pop country.

Favorite beer section:
What’s your all time favorite beer?
I have a soft spot for Odell IPA…I’ve always loved that beer since my early days discovering craft beer in Colorado. As a daily drinker, however, I’ll never turn down a good old Coors Banquet.

Favorite beer Joyride has ever made?
The one in my hand…
The freshest one on tap….
My favorite Joyride beer changes every week, but I am excited to get That Would Really Hit The Spot Hefeweizen back on tap soon.

Favorite Joyride beer currently on tap?
Interview Tuxedo. I’m a sucker for west coast IPAs and we decided to throw some of our favorite hops at this one.

You’re stuck on a desert island and can only drink one style of beer for the rest of your life. What is it?
German Pilsner. It’s light, dry, and just bitter enough to make you want to keep going back for another sip.

Favorite place you’ve ever visited?
I spent a month in rural southern China after college for an internship…so much beautiful scenery, amazing people, and even more amazing food!

When can people normally find you at Joyride?
Monday-Friday you can spot me through the window to the brewhouse, creating something new and tasty!
