What do you do at Joyride?
I switch back and forth between serving and beertending.
Where are you from, and when did you move to Colorado?
I’m originally from the small town of Chuluota, Florida, just outside of Orlando. I moved to Colorado exactly two years ago and I haven’t regretted it one bit.
Why did you move to Colorado?
I took a four day solo trip out to Colorado almost three years ago, and on the plane back to Florida I realized that Denver was where I wanted to call home. The music, beer, culture and mountains of this state are too good to not be engulfed by it all.
What did you do before Joyride?
Before Joyride I was slaving away in college earning my Bachelor of Science in Business.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Joyride?
I would have to say besides the beer, it would definitely be the people. My coworkers and our patrons are some of the best individuals I’ve ever met. Being at Joyride never feels like being at work.
What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
When I do have free time (which isn’t often), you can find me hanging with my pup Riley, brewery hopping, wandering outdoors or cutting hair. I’m a hair stylist and a barber, so let me make all you beer drinkers pretty!
What’s your favorite type of music/band?
That’s kind of a difficult question… That’s like asking what your favorite food is, which is everything. My dad always told me I had an old soul when it came to music, which is why no one at work likes when I attempt to put on Billy Joel. But you can catch me listening to anything but country. Sorry not sorry.
Favorite beer section:
What’s your all time favorite beer?
I’d have to say Creature Comforts Brewing Company’s Tropicalia IPA out of Georgia is a scary good one and unforgettable.
Favorite beer Joyride has ever made?
The Director DIPA.
Favorite Joyride beer currently on tap?
Joyride DIPA.
You’re stuck on a desert island and can only drink one style of beer for the rest of your life. What is it?
IPA all day.
Favorite place you’ve ever visited?
I actually haven’t traveled that much since I’ve been in school my entire life. Besides visiting Colorado and loving it enough to move here, I’m about to travel to Portland for a week in June with my southern spicy coworker, Charly! I bet the beer there will make it enough to be one of my favorite vacations thus far.
When can people normally find you at Joyride?
I usually only work Thursdays-Sundays, so come hang and have a beer with me!
