BeerTender Tuesday #7: Victoria

What do you do at Joyride?

I serve beer and show off my ability to not know any answers at Trivia.

Where are you from, and when did you move to Colorado?

I grew up in Michigan and Ohio and spent my after college years in L.A.  I moved here in 2008.

Why did you move to Colorado?

There was an amazing man that was living in Florida and I was living in California..he loved Colorado…I loved him so we started our lives together in Colorado.  Best life decision ever!

What did you do before Joyride?

I worked out a lot more.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Joyride?

Watching three guys accomplish their dream has been incredibly inspiring!  We have the best bosses, co-workers and customers, both human and canine.   I’ve never dreaded coming to work and always go home happy. There is never a moment without laughter.  Drinking beer with amazing people while petting puppies, that’s a perfect day!

What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?

I work 2 jobs and I am in grad school…I’ll let you know what I do during my free time when I have it again!  I don’t remember anymore.

What’s your favorite type of music/band?

I love all music from Don Henley to Bonecrusher.  I spent my twenties working in urban L.A. so I have a special passion for 90’s rap and R&B.

Favorite beer section:

What’s your all-time favorite beer?

Bell’s Oberon because it reminds me of being in college in Kalamazoo and saving my change so I could buy a $2 pint.  My mom always finds me a mini-keg during the summer, but sometimes it is empty by the time I make it back to visit!

Favorite beer Joyride has ever made?

Breast in Show Saison with Pink Peppercorns and Grapefruit.  I dream about that beer.

Favorite Joyride beer currently on tap?

Joyride DIPA. It is 10oz of delicious happiness!

You’re stuck on a desert island and can only drink one style of beer for the rest of your life. What is it?

Caguamas of Tecate with lime.

Favorite place you’ve ever visited?

Cape Town, South Africa.  The juxtaposition of seeing Nelson Mandela’s prison cell while being in one of the most beautiful places in the world will never be forgotten.

When can people normally find you at Joyride?

Tuesday Trivia nights and summertime!
